Soft Edge Magnum:
Round-edge magnum needles are magnum needles in which the individual needles in the group stand further back toward the edge.
Towards the outside a little more and more back until a soft edge is created.
The effect of these needles is that there are no sharp edges when shading and the image becomes more even with a soft gradient. Soft shading is a typical application for Soft Edge Magnum needles.
Portrait artists who work without liner needles often use Soft Edge Magnums exclusively. Soft Edge Magnums are available in the same sizes as normal magnums, but mainly larger needle groups are used, as the advantages over normal magnums are more obvious here. They are offered and used in all needle sizes.
