The cams are special.

A cam is a cam that changes the dwell time of the needle and the time it takes to get in and out of the skin.

What is the importance of the cams: How fast in and out and how long does the needle stay in the skin overall during this process and why at all?

You have the choice between 2.75, 3.6 or 4.2mm. There are 4 cams for each. You can order these individually or as a set. Our machines are equipped with the 4.2mm variant as standard.

The protrusion of the needle on the top of the Neuma 4 Tattoo Pen can be changed continuously with a rotary knob.

You can also change the hit by swapping out the bearing arm. The heavier the bearing arm, the harder the hit. A 5g brass bearing arm is pre-installed.

For a softer hit there is a separately available 1g aluminum bearing arm. Here, too, the exchange is relatively easy - a corresponding Allen key is of course included.

the 20% Cam: Ideal for straight and clean lines – quick in, quick out.
This cam is already in your Neuma 4 Tattoo Pen upon delivery
the 28% Cam is ideal for quick shading – a little slower in, but out again quickly, like at 20%
33% Cam is ideal for smooth transitions in multi-layer gradients and slower shading – Get in a little slower and get out as fast as at 20%
The 40% cam is ideal for slow hand movements or for large or full color areas – as slowly as at 33% and out again very slowly
