What Are Grips, Tips, and Tubes Used For? – Murostar Explains

Grips are essential for balancing your tattoo machine and ensuring smooth operation. They help stabilize the movements and rotations of your machine.
Tips, also known as nozzles, are used to keep the needle in place within the tattoo machine, ensuring proper guidance during tattooing.
Tubes, or barrels, act as an extension for your grip, stabilizing the needle bar and preventing the needle from dislodging from the machine.

Together, these three components form a unit critical to operating your tattoo machine. Missing any one of these parts makes tattooing impossible. Without the grip, you can't hold the machine; without the tip, you can't guide the needle; and without the tube, the needle could dislodge. These components are available for separate purchase, though tubes are often preassembled with grips for easier setup.

We also offer ready-to-use modules, known as disposable grips, in our range. These require no assembly. The only drawback is their single-use design, as they are primarily made from plastic and wear out during a session, similar to needles. However, they save time as they come pre-sterilized, eliminating the need for cleaning. Disposable grips are available with or without needles.
All our grips are compatible with both coil and rotary machines equipped with a needle bar.
